Cup of Kindness™ January 2021
As a small business, we recognize just how much we need our local community. That's why we're invested in giving back however we can. Through our Cup of Kindness™ program, we make a $500 charitable contribution to one of three local charities based on our customers' votes. These charities do so much to support those in our community, so we love supporting them in their respective missions.
This last quarter, our customers' top vote went to Loggerhead Marine Life Center, a center that works toward sea turtle and ocean conservation. They actively give treatment to turtles in need of rehabilitation and monitor an extensive stretch of beach in Palm Beach County to protect this endangered species.
Our other two charities from the last quarter were Arc of Palm Beach and MyClinic. You can continue to support them by buying coffee bags that have the charity's name on the label. This is an amazing way to continue to support these local charities. Five dollars from every bag sold goes right back to the charity on the coffee bag label. We sold 63 bags in our last wave, which comes out to an extra $315 raised for these charities.
This quarter we have selected the following charities to work with:
Quantum House
Quantum House seeks to lessen the financial burden on families who have a children receiving serious medical care; they do this by providing housing with full amenities to families staying in the Palm Beach County area for medical procedures. They seek to provide a bit of stability and hominess in what can be uncertain times.
Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association
FRLA is a non-profit industry trade association that aims to protect, educate, and promote Florida's hospitality industry, which represents 1.5 million employees. They strive to provide legislative advocacy to protect and advocate for their members.
Get There
Get There Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides tickets to events to underprivileged people. They collaborate with other charitable and social organizations to identify deserving people within a community and then work with venues, entertainers, and season ticket holders to get those unused tickets to people who want them.
